Cranking takes long

A week back I replaced the fuel tank straps, as one was broken and the other one about to break. Finished off by filling the tank at the gas station. All went well until the afternoon of the next day. It took double the time to start after a few hours sitting. This has occurred ever since after a few hours sitting.
I've now looked at the non-return valve which doesn't seem to leak after 20 minutes of watching. Also measured the engine temp sensor reading 850 ohms at 46 deg centigrade.
The fuel pump was replaced last summer along with the DI cassette.
The battery is 4 years old and the voltage goes down to 9,6 at start. Has been doing so for ages.
Any ideas where to look next?
