I replaced fuel pump 3 months ago - and the damn black return elbow broke. I went to local stealer and bought pressure side and gutted it and everything worked out. This required patience with my dremmle tool because the white one was actually glued together! I had to carefully remove material with cutting wheel and grind stone attachments. I called Goldwing after the whole ordeal to find that they have the black ones available and intact.
If I did it again, I would call them and pay for FedEx overnight. the gutting and fitting process took two hours and the stealer charged $18.00
for the pressure valve - white. They say the plastic gets brittle after years so that would be my only concern with used - I did however reuse my original pressure elbow check valve. Maybe the white plastic is more resitant to the gasoline?? everyone seems to break the return elbow!!
