I would take up legal action. My opinion....
the dealer origionally misdiagnosed the clutch problem as a master cyl, after bleeding the system the clutch worked for a day, it is very possable that they damaged the slave by pressure bleeding the system. I have my self blown the oring out of the slave luckelly it was on a 900 and only cost me 30min to repair.
To replace the slave you MUST fully remove the transmission, it would be stupid to do it anyother way, as the sub-frame hinges away and once that is done it only takes 5 min to remove it so simply sliding it back would be stupid. additionally it would be IMPOSSABLE to replace the slave cyl with out removing the transmission, the slave is bolted to the transmission, and you could not do it any other way.
I would get a lawyer, and take them to court.
Or atleast get a lawyer to draft a letter demanding a FULL REFUND for the repairs, or face legal action. They will most likely refund and write off the service, cheaper to give you your $1200 back than go to court.
