I had a hard time following the above comments. The 9K [I have had two] has a flat mirror on the driver's side and a curved mirror on the passenger side.
The Aspheric mirror, which was available on 9K's in Europe, were designed to eliminate the driver's side blind spot.
I have looked into changing my driver's side mirror and it is doable, but not cheap. I forget the $$.
In place of this I bought a $2.00 curved mirror [about 3"x1"] that attaches by a suction cup to the windshield and gives me a full view of anything from the rear of the car to just over my left shoulder. There are expensive varieties of this type of mirror but nonoe replace the stock rear view mirrors, internal or external.
These mirrors are often sold as a mirror to watch children in the back seat. Mine is mounted in the lower left corner of the windshield. It does not block any part of the viewing angle. There are no kids in my back seat any more. Sometimes, I move the mirror around so I can talk to and watch my wife in the passenger sear as I drive without taking my eyes totally off the road. Works great!
