Not sure if this would work, the engine would be going into a 97 and the engine computer would be wired to the sensor on the cylinder head not the fan switch. I think if I hooked something up to that connection might send wrong info to the computer etc. I don't think that sensor is just for fan control is it? On the 97 that is
