When I got my ISAT about a year and a half ago I tried to order it, and its been NLA for a long time. I ended up buying a photocopy of the 1:4 ISAT manual from a guy on ebay who was selling an ISAT.
The manual isn't very good. It really doesn't tell you how to do anything. What you want is the manuals for the different systems you'll be working on. For instance, the TCS manual will have instructions for using the ISAT to work on the TCS system.
The SDA two module will only work if you have the chip upgrade too, so I think its safe to assume you have the chip upgrade. You can tell by looking at the software date when your ISAT self tests. The latest version is like 10 of 1995. I can tell you from experience that with that version of software, you'll be able to work on all the NG 900's, including 1998.
If you want a copy of the ISAT manual, I'll copy mine for you for $20. Thats what I paid, and its about 75 pages. In my opinion it isn't worth it.
There are a lot of little tricks you will learn using the ISAT. For one, when you get it jammed up, you have to hold the ESC key for 10 sec to get it "un-jammed", if that doesn't work, you need to remove the battery to reset it. It actually tells you that in the manual. A good way to get it jammed up is to go into the GST (general OBD2 menu) while it isn't hooked up, or hooked up to a non obd2 car. This will jam the tool up enough to require you to unhook the battery.
If you have any questions about it, email me and I'll give you my phone #. I have a lot of experience with it, and can probably answer any questions you have about it.
