electrical gremlins - grounding/earthing points ? Posted by vtsnaab [Email] (#26) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vtsnaab) on Thu, 30 Mar 2006 17:57:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi Folks.
Since I got my '91 9KT, the console switch illumination comes and
goes as it pleases - but the windows all work fine.
Lately, the dash illumination disappears for no apparent reason at
the same time that the stereo loses power - and I have checked all
the fuses, but they are good and do not affect this situation.
The dash illumination just quits, and a few minutes later comes
back !
There does not seem to be a cycle or trigger for it - I first
thought it may have been road vibration doing it - but tonight
it did this when I was parked after a 1/2 hour drive.
I remember being told to check the grounding points carefully,
and if that is a starting point - does anyone have a diagram
or some other good way to locate all of them under/inside or
related to the dash ?
Thanks !
