All of a sudden two of my three 9k's have the ACC problem. Wife's 94cs turbo could not stop the heat from coming into the cabin even when all vents are closed. The 94cde fan is blowing high and would not respond to pressing any button on the ACC.
So I ordered the fan speed control from Eeuro over the weekend. Why is it so expensive? It is over a hundred bucks. I ordered only one thinking it will buy me time so I can fix the bad ones following Quasi's procedure. Indeed the 94cs turbo came back to normal after I replaced the fan speed control. One down, one to go. Last night I ordered the transistor too hoping it will fix the bad FSC.
The 94cde AC compressor does not engage. The radiator fan does not come on. The blower fan is always at high. There is a two flash CEL indicating the MAP sensor but I am almost sure there is nothing wrong with the sensor. The engine will not idle at first crank. It never fails. It fires and stalls after first crank. Only the second crank will it idle. All this happens after I replaced the engine with a 95 two weeks ago. And I am hoping to fix most of the symptoms by replacing the fan speed control? I am asking a lot. Am I not?
Yes, Victor. I corrected the ground connection on the intake manifold. I had to grind the entire torx screw head flat until only the shank is left using the Dremal. I then drilled the shank out completely using my favorite Bule Mol drill bits which goes through mild steel like butter. Screw extraction wasn't necessary. There was nothing left. But it did not fix the problem of second crank start-up.
