86 9KT: When I T-boned that guy a few years ago, I figured the dent in the intake pipe (the aluminum tube between the intercooler and the F.I. body) was caused by the crash.Today I received a factory new tube that CAME WITH THE DENT !!
This dent is in the back of the tube where it turns up about 10" from the intercooler. Is the dent there to clear the air filter box or something ? My car came with the K&N filter so I see no reason for the dent and I'm sure the engine would run better with out this restriction.
