My son called me last night around 10 PM saying the 94 cs turbo (wife's daily driver) engine started shaking and died on I-287 about 30 miles from home. It was too late so I asked him to have it towed home. With an aging fleet I kept two triple A plus memberships in the household which is well worth the cost.
This morning I looked at the car. There is nothing unusual in the engine compartment except a loose vacuum hose on the PCV linr to the intake. Tried to crank the engine. No juice. Complete darkeness. The battery was very new, an Intersate one year old.
My guess is the alternator died without showing a symptom or he wasn't paying attention. Hope it is the regulator. I know the info is sketchy. I will find out more and update it.
