hi,
I don't know if that setup will work. The griffin came with the CD/EQ setup. But read the following just in case...
If the radio worked without the CD EQ in place.... then the previous owner most likely plugged the jumper on the back of the Radio cage in. That jumper is needed to work without the CD/EQ. and the converse is also true, that jumper needs to be removed for the CD/EQ to work. I forget if the jumper takes the place of one of the interconnecting cables or just plugs into an available spot. the cables are labeled with red, blue, or yellow bands which correspond to where they plug in. The jumper plug may be attached to one of the cables with a plastic lanyard, the kind of thing that you sometimes see holding a camera lense cap to the body or a gas cap to a car. it's a plastic plug with 2 or so connectors in it. If all works well, keep that jumper in case you need to run without the CD/EQ in the future.
Also, you will need to enter the radio code when you plug this together.
