Boost Gauges no longer working Posted by Daven [Email] (#290) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Daven) on Tue, 12 Sep 2006 13:32:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hey everyone!
I'm running 22psi on my '92 9KT and both the standard boost gauge and graduated 2.2bar pressure gauge have stopped working. They read about 1/4 into the yellow and .5 bar (respectively) and never change, car on and accelerating hard or car off. My '95 CSE turbo has an MBC and is pushing about 1 bar boost pressure and now it's standard boost gauge isn't working either. It too has its gauge about 1/4 into the yellow at all times. The vacuum hoses before and after the y-connector are still connected in both cars.
What is the problem here? The selenoid valve called the "Safety Runoff Valve (for TCS cars)", part number 4015202, is what provides both gauges with their pressure, could this be what went bad? If I had a spare I'd just check it but I don't so could someone enlighten me maybe? Thanks!
