Hey all!!!
I'm thinking about getting a new car.
Don't worry, its still a SAAB and its still a 9000 turbo manual...but it means I'm going to have to sell either my black '92 9KT 5-speed with 193k miles or give it to my brother and sell his red '92 9KT 5-speed with 160k miles. The car I might buy is a black '95 Aero 5-speed with 165k miles...absolutely gorgeous!!! I REALLY need some help here...based on what you know about the early to mid-9000s how much do you think I can fetch for either car? Keep in mind that I'd be selling it on SAABNET and don't want to dupe a fellow SAABnut into buying either car.
My black '92 9000 turbo will be sold as follows, beginning with the positives: CAR IS A F-ING ROCKETSHIP!!!...,includes a full black SAAB 9000 Airflow kit (F+R bumpers, side skirts, fender flares, and door pannels, all in G to VG condition) but only the bumpers are currently installed, clear front and side blinkers, tinted tail lights, Swedish Dynamics Red Series lowering springs and Bilstien HD shocks all around, Group 9 DI APC+LH Fuel chips (+40hp), brand new professionally installed windshield, beautiful black paint with a soild clear coat that buffs and polishes to near perfection three times a year, BRAND NEW HEAD & HEAD GASKET, intake manifold gasket, and exhaust maniflod gasket, TCS throttle body, firewall ETS selenoid, almost perfect dark grey interior , newer headlights and foglights both with NEW EXTRA WHITE bright PIAA bulbs (they bathe the road in daylight), Cross-drilled Zimmermann Rotors F+R (with all areas not touched by pads painted high-temp ceramic black), 4 Ferrari red high-temp ceramic painted calipers (the two fronts are brand new) w/ new PBR Metal Master pads, exhaust DP, middle muffler, and rear muffler replaced within last year, newer radiator, clutch, and both F+R front control arm bushings. The bad: TCS (although it works fine now due to much $ spent on my part), dented left rear door, slightly leaking MOON roof, slightly leaking trunk, central locking intermittently works, no headliner OR headliner fiberglass board, loose stitching on driver's seat and loose arm rest fabric on front doors.
The red '92 9000: Faded red paint, decent dark grey leather interior, no middle resonator w/a magnaflow backbox, VERY FAST AND LOUD, Intrax lowering springs w/ Sachs shocks all around, brand new transmission, brand new T25 turbo, '98 CSE [exposed lug] Super Aero wheels, 2000WATT professional stereo system (4 custom fit Infinity Kappa 6X9s, 2 alpine type s 4" speakers, and 2 alpine type r 6.5" speakers.
Please let me know what each might fetch...all work either dine by me, a SAAB mechanic of 4 years, and a reputable saab tech of more than 20 years...I really appreciate it!!!
