Lock Cylinder Stuck - Drilling Instructions Wanted

The ignition lock froze up on my '98 9000 CSE. It was sticking intermittently, and finally does not turn at all. The same thing happened with my '93 CSE
I ruled out the ignition switch. I removed it from the rear of the cylinder, and it works fine. The key just won't turn the cylinder.
I followed the instructions elsewhere in this forum. Popping off the metal bezel was almost impossible (unlike on the '93 which popped right off, it was formed tightly around the tumbler) I've tried wiggling the pins, depressing the tab, WD-40, etc, but it won't budge.
The lock has three basic elements; the outer body, the middle cylinder, and the inner key tumbler. Is there any way to remove the two center pieces from the outer frame? I notice a small hole on the underside of the body and wondered if this would provide any access to drill out a retaining pin or something If I can get that out, I'm sure that I can get the tumbler working (even if I have to take out all of the pins).
This has happened twice to me, so I'm sure that some of you have some great ideas.
Thanks,
Bob
