Treat it like any other loss of base boost. Did the head gasket work 'break' the car? Maybe. But things can break totally unrelated to the recent work. Strange but true. Start with the basics.
First, make sure you've got a tank of good, high-octane gas. Make sure you've got the right NGK plugs, properly gapped. Pull them out and look at them - are you running rich, lean, or do they look right? Fuel filter clean and recent? Air filter clean? Just because they're recent doesn't mean that something hasn't happened - for example, a family of mice deciding to nest in the air filter while the car was being fixed.
Just because the BPC used to work doesn't mean it isn't broken. Check the wiring. But it could have gotten hit while the engine was being worked on. Or it just decided to fail.
How's the compression? Is it too high? High compression can lead to knock, which leads to boost reduction.
Check past posts on troubleshooting base boost on a Trionic system. With the recent head work, there are some questions - did the cam timing go back properly? For that, you'd need to pull the valve cover and compare the cams to piston TDC. That's a big extreme, but may be required if all other leads don't pan out. But-
If you have a problem, resist the urge to try and combine all your clues to create one answer. So ignore the recent work on the head. Instead, work the problem as if the boost just went away by itself. Doing a process-oriented troubleshooting method will bring you to the right answer. But if you try and score a hole-in-one by trying to combine all the clues, you'll spend more time chasing weird theories.
