Replacing my timing cover and oil pump after changing a damaged crankshaft key , I see the manual has conflicting instructions about the oil pipe being 25 mm from the face of the oil pump. One drawing shows the pipe coming into the pump cavity from the side and another shows it coming into the cavity from the rear like mine. The Haynes manual says the distance from the end of the pipe to the oil pump flange (?)is 25mm but the drawing shows the measurement taken between the bottom of the oil pipe and the bottom of the chamber. My oil supply pipe just fits in flush with the hole in the rear of the oil chamber and does not seem to be adjustable ! What gives ?
