Gary, are you planning on installing a seperate starting solenoid to the starter?
If you just want to by-pass the ignition switch & interlocks you can do this at the 6 pin TSI socket.
Pins are numbered counter-clockwise when viewed from the top. Start with pin # 6 as reference, it is the blank pin. #1 pin is battery positive and #3 pin is to the starter solenoid.
You can unscrew the socket assembly to pull it out and access the wires. (#1 pin wire is gray 1.5mm & #3 pin wire is yellow 1.0mm)
Mount a momentary contact pushbutton in one of the blank covers on the facia. Run power wire to pushbutton from #1 pin wire. Run second wire from pushbuttom "switched" back to pin #3 wire.
I suggest using a start button rated for at least 20 amps. You can also install an in-line fuse for protection.
Safety wise: be sure car is in park and handbrake is engaged. Turn ignition switch to the "on" position and push the momentary contact "start" button.
Good luck!
