Not to nitpick, but it's called the area to radius ratio ("R" does not stand for ratio), and it deals with more than just the area of a single plane; it's the area of the outlet to the distance between the inner housing edge and center shaft (obviously a radius). "Garrett" and ".48" were just convenient ways to describe it without pulling things off.
"Trim" is a vague descriptory word, and I used it as such. Trim could very well be used in referring to A:R.
Advice is great, but give people here some credit.
