...AFAIK AAA won't tow unless the membership is 1 month or more old.

This is what I might do:

Skin the front bumper (takes 25 minutes to drop the front valence, remove the 2 bolts holding the bumper, and then remove the 22 small bolts holding the skin to the Aluminum bumper frame. Use the Aluminum bumper frame and drill 4 holes in it that mate up to a car transport type trailer hitch. Firmly bolt the hitch to the front bumper and tighten the snot out of the bumper to car mounting bolts. Then go to Walmart and get a car light kit meant for towing. They mount to the car with magnets and attach to your brake lights so when you signal the other cars will see you signal. Place a license on the rear bumper to avoid Police pull overs. Then pull her home.

This method is easy, safe, and only requires good tires and good bearings.

As long as you don't make ANY tight turns(the saab wheels will lock into the turn and get stuck), you will be awesome. I just did this to pull a 9000 for 6 hours. Could not have been easier or more user friendly.

Fleebay auction 120112392327 shows exactly the unit I bought and used for this mission. I bought 2 additional 3 foot lengths of chain with locking opennable links for the other end to firmly chain the car to the hitch, and the hitch to the car being towed. I also use a long bolt and nut to lock the trailer hitch ball mount shut(you will see what I mean when you buy the unit).

Very secure, very safe, very legal.

If you have a spare 9000 bumper, preskin and drill it and secure it to the mount. When you get there it will save you time. I have a C900 pre-drilled bumper that I will be using to pull my SIS on a 2200 mile trip.
