stereo upgrade issues Posted by inca99 [Email] (#1862) [Profile/Gallery] (more from inca99) on Fri, 15 Jun 2007 16:33:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
i just bought a Pioneer in dash player (DEHP3900MP) for my '91 9Kt from Circuit City. I chose this unit based on some good recommendations from this 9000BB. Anyway, after the installer saw my current components, he said that it was a whole different story because the installation is completely different with a factory equalizer and it would take an entire day to wire it (an extra $120.00 vs. free installation.) so if that is the case, I figured I would maybe consider a trunk CD changer and call it a day, since that is really why i wanted to upgrade my non-CD factory unit. If anyone has had experience with this, I would be interested to know if the installer is full of it, or if adding a CD player is a fairly easy add-on to a '91 model. Thanks all,
sk
