86 9KT. Traced an intermittent dead FL speaker to the 8 pin connector going to the equalizer from the car's wiring harness. To prove it, I unplugged the eq. cable, connected the 2 eight pin connectors from the car's wiring harness together, and put the cap on the end of one of the round conn. from the radio unit (as shown in the Saab Audio Equip. handbook.) Now radio does not even turn on !!
Also how to remove the metal female pins from the nylon 8 pin connector ? I think there is a plastic tongue that must be depressed to pull the wire and its small socket out from the back. I cannot seem to get any of the 8 pins to come out of the plastic block !
