Sounds like it to me. Typically you shouldn't get the ABS warning for low pressure till you've pumped at least ten times.
Replacing the accumulator's quick and easy. Fully bleed off the pressure (car off), by pumping 25 or so times on the brake pedal (really, and VERY critical). Then get the appropriate hex socket, and use your 3/8" drive (or whatever) to loosen and then remove the accumulator. Installation: The reverse--screw it on, tighten with socket, start car and you should notice the difference immediately once the system's pumped up.
Oh, and one possibly helpful hint: The accumulator is the same unit as used in several GM FWD cars w/ ABS from the late eighties (the Buick Reatta comes to mind), so it'd be worth a call to your friendly GM dealer to see if you can get it locally, rather than waiting for it to come in after you've ordered it online.
