first off , you will need a brake flaring tool and a pair of slip joint pliers , cut the old fitting out of the line at the last high point (first ridge if you where putting it on) then clamp the line in the flaring tool a short distance from the cut , and push the new part in to the line till it bottoms out , then reset the flasing tool again and repeat till it is in all the way (should be 2 or 3 pushes) becareful not to kink the line !!! some will tell you to heat the line , I have never had to , by cutting the way I said the line is already flared open for you .
