Crankshaft position sensor? For the 96+ models, there is a way to test the starup sequence. There is a fuse that you pull out for 5 seconds then you can use a test light on certain terminals on the connector going to the DI. After cranking the engine, if the test light goes on then you know the DI saw the CPS signal. Do some searching on the board. It's in the Trionic Manual also. If that's ok, I would change the DI if it never was changed. 120k miles is a long time on a DI.
