Has anyone else had problems with the Rear Control Arm Bushings not fitting?! A week or two ago I ordered a pair of the "URO" rca bushings among other stuff to throw the 96. The first one I grabbed didnt fit and got stuck on the control arm shaft. To make sure I wasnt doing anything wrong, I unwrapped the other bushing and it slid on no problem. For fun, I thought I try the "bad" bushing on the other side, same thing.

I figured it was just a bad part so I ordered another bushing, this time Febi/Bilstein from eEuro. When I opened the box, the bushing was among the packing peanuts in no separate wrapping or packaging. To make matters worse, there were markings on the inner sleeve as if someone had tried to fit this same part before, which I obviously wasnt smiling about. I tried to put it on and it did not fit without surprise. The old one slides right on, no problems. The bushing is tore up but the sleeve is still in the rubber. Not wanting to wait (and pay) for more shipping, I picked up a bushing from a Saab indy, another URO. And guess what? It wont go on.

That was the 4th bushing I've purchased and the 3rd one that doesnt fit. I'm beyond frustrated because of my work schedule I dont have time to find a machine shop to modify the brand new parts I'm buying. I called the dealer for fun and they $97.40 - Special order. Is that possible?

What does it take to get parts that fit?! I'm reluctant to go poly with these bushings cause its an automatic and I'm not a vibration fan. This job is so DIY I'm hating that I cant get new tires and an alignment cause this stuff wont fit. Any recommendations? Another brand to try? This annoying. Again the sleeve is not stuck on the control arm shaft.

Thanks for reading.

Andy
