Can I replace RH stub shaft on '91 auto transmission? Posted by Ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ryan) on Tue, 12 May 2009 21:35:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The motor mount failed and then the bolts holding on the bracket for the rear engine mount, and intermediate driveshaft bearing. The stub (output)shaft from the transmission on the right side has the teeth ground off, and so does the intermediate shaft. I have another transmission to put in as I thought it was toast. I also have a spare intermediate shaft, and bearing/motor mount bracket. Can I pull the stub shaft out and just replace it so I don't have to replace the whole transmission (again!)? I see there is a circlip to take out. Mine does not have the bolts around it like the 94 up years (I think). It is a 1991 9000T automatic.
Thanks, Ryan
