I have had 3 replacement Meyle bearings fail on me in the last 3 years. I had experimented with different torque techniques- to spec with wrench, overtorqing by standing on a 3 foot bar, slightly undertorquing until I realized that these bearings are just poor quality. I got so frustrated that I keep a spare 200K mile (good) original bearing in stock. I am pretty sure they all were "made in " some European country. Could have been Germany or Spain but not China. I don't care if it's made in Sweden, China or Nigeria as long as it survives like the original. I'm glad to see the part changed recently. Hopefully for the better and for good. At least the manufacturer is aware.
