Check the aux. cable comming from the positive terminal, its the one that is much smaller than cable that goes to the starter then onto the alternator. Mine had developed so much corosion that it became an intermittant issue w/ similar symptoms that you described. Sometimes while driving when Id hit a bump the car would just shut off but would come right back on a second later. Happened once, then didnt resurface for about a year, then happened a couple times in a month, then a few times a week and finally when it happened twice in a day I checked. It got bad enough that when I parked the car, shutting the door killed constant power, Id get back in & the radio code had been lost. I could slam the hood down and the power would return. With the key on and the door open I was able to see the light in the rear view mirror and when I touched the smaller cable the light would flicker and the radio code alarm would come on. I cleaned the smaller cable where it joins a power distribution block just below the battery and it hasnt come back. Hope this helps someone.
