Nothing different as far as I can tell. I always wonder how the heck the original clamps got cinched down. But then, I believe the entire powertrain and subframe, together with the control arms and struts, was installed into the car preassembled from underneath during manufacture. So probably whatever human or robot originally installed the inner driver boot clamp didn't have the limited tool access we're faced with.
Or, there's some Saab special tool that costs too much, designed to fit in there and cinch the new band clamp. Oh well. I use a large hose clamp with no adverse effects. I've even used zip ties as a temporary measure and then forgotten to replace them, and even those have stayed put just fine.
