Yes, the really early ones are getting fewer and further in between. Rust and the massive lack of monetary value versus having someone fix them drives many people to send them to the crusher. Sad, but there it is.
I think the relative lack of posts on the really early 9000s also comes from the fact that pretty much every trick, niggle and challenge has been discovered and written about them over the years, and that in reality, they're pretty simple cars by today's standards.
I drove my '86 to the last SOC and it was pretty much ignored by those drooling over Aeros and other newer cars, or else the strokers and classic 900s. The drive to and from Colorado was smooth and fast, with good mileage and comfort.
