speaker wires Posted by TML [Email] (#2212) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TML) on Mon, 15 Mar 2010 16:09:02 In Reply to: Clarion wiring clarifications needed, Dana H, Sun, 14 Mar 2010 18:27:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This is from the '94 wiring diagram. On this diagram, the front speakers appear to be powered directly from the head unit, while the rear speakers are powered by an amp under the seat, which is connected to the head unit via an 8 conductor cable with no wire colours shown. I know from experience that the system in the Aero models has all the coloured wires going to the amp under the seat. This is the "harmon/kardon" system, but that refers only to the amp and speakers. The head unit is always a Clarion.

There is no indication on the wiring diagram which wires are positive and negative, but if you just assign brown as positive then red, red/white and brown/white are also positive. As long as they are all in phase, then it doesn't matter.
There is no yellow wire shown on the wiring diagram.
