I am posting this during a short break, as my car is sitting in the driveway with both front seats now removed...

MOST IMPORTANTLY:
In my '94 Aero the electric seat memory unit is THE seat operator; there is NO WAY to subtract it and still have any sort of electrically operable seat.

To get the thing apart I had to do a combination of things - no single procedure was enough by itself.

1.
Passenger seat (which works fine) had to come out.

2.
Center console had to come out. (Problem-> unknown fastening points...)
I could only find 4 fasteners - so I searched, and->Courtesy of Ed N.:
"For the console removal, there are two bolts near the floor on either sides of the console at the rear. These are covered by a rug flap."
Mystery solved. (That is a ROTTEN place to put bolts !!!)

3.
Driver's seat bottom/top had to be separated per Jeff's great info:
"If you cannot move the seat at all, here is a trick to get to the seat bottom where the module is.

Remove the center console, and then the trim cover for the seat control buttons. Then take the seat control switch off the side of the seat.

Next, look for four goldish colored bolts with a torx head, I think they are T-40. There will be two on each side of the seat base at the front and rear. Remove these four bolts. Then with a 17mm socket remove the nut that holds the seat belt latch to the inner side of the seat.

Once these are removed the seat will come right off the power seat frame/track.

By the way that flexible wire tool is a joke, have you ever tried to get one under the seat to get to the right motor and then get the tool into the motor shaft to move it?"

4.
The nasty tool got the seat back so the front bolts could come out...and:
Very messy situation when separation occurs because there's ALOT of cables between seat bottom and top...no easy way to work with it, which was a blessing of sorts.

5.
After the bottom was free, the electronic unit was fully exposed and it is mounted with 2 plastic pegs and a hard to find plastic turn-button that is ONLY accessable at the very, very bottom of the seat.

6.
Opened the memory box (4 screws) and tried operating the seat whilst separated. (Previously confirmed ALL fuses as being good.) The largest relay does a click/hold thing - but that's all.
While holding any control button I also moved the armatures of all the other (6-8?) relays and presto - all motors worked.

7.
Since there is NO way to de-wire and simply remove the electronics, fo now I shall hang the control box out the back of the seat bottom and make sure I can get into it to manually operate it. Likely that seat's fuse will also be removed for safety assurances.

8.
Permanent solution...
Given the nightmarish nature of this assembly as well as the fact that I have ZERO need for the cutesy memory function, my solution of choice will be to replace the seat bottom with one from a non-memory seat car and get rid of all that useless, breakable and expensive extra stuff.

But first I need to do some repairs and get the car back together !
So outside I go...

Best Wishes to All, and Extreme Thanks to All the Good Folks whose info I got from here and used to get this far !!!
