The Saab "push pin" fasteners are easy to break if the pin is pushed in too far. Note that the screwdriver that comes with the car has a plastic nub on the back end of the handle. Using this nub to push in the centers of the fasteners puts the pin at just the right depth so the fastener can be removed without destroying it. In putting the fasteners back put in the fastener with the pin out at a detent then push the pin flush to lock.
I am getting old; can't remember where I learned this.
