The condensate is supposed to drain through a drain hole in the area between the engine and the actual firewall. You need to take the cover off by opening the hood and removing about a dozen bolts. The AC evaporator housing also has a drain that drains into that firewall area. If you see standing water once you take that false firewall cover off the drain is clogged. The drain is about in the center of the area.
