Nothing feels like a 9K

So after loaning my '96 semi-Aero to my daughter almost 2 months ago, I've done a bunch of air travel, worked weekends to catch up, and have had no time to do the heater core on her '95 CS, which resides in the driveway. The leaks were so bad the car was not drivable So I finally did half last Saturday and the rest this weekend. And now it's done.
I've been sentenced to driving either my wife's 9-5 wagon or my other daughter's '99 9-3. Both run well and are up to date on service, etc. I like the 9-5, but not the 9-3. I liked my C900 better.
Anyway, the heater core fixed, getting into the 9K, even this 167K mile, LPT, autobox unit that is admittedly a bit of a college kid beater, was a total treat. There is no comparison. Even with tired shocks and skinny sway bars, the 9K feels so much better to drive than either of its new brothers. It just feels right.
It still needs a few things done to get it back in shape, but the difference between this and the newer cars is amazing. The 9K remains, IMHO, the best Saab ever made.
