Hi guys,
Decided to initiate this project since my 2nd slush box just been fried when mating with ball bearing turbo :(
My car is '94 Aero A/T. Local donor car is '95 2.0LPT (FM54xxx / 4.05 box).
As I know, this box would be nice for acceleration, however, that revvy on motorway since it's 4.05 box has been in concern.
Question :
- Would the conversion between 2 cars be possible?
-As stated in this BB, the real Aero trans (3.61) need a bigger driver flange, do I need to find one in case I use this box?
- Any further parts I need for the conversion to M/T but wouldn't be in the 2.0LPT? So I would begin hunting for it.
- Any possibility for the trans to convert just the final drive gear to 3.61 in the future? Let's say I could find the parts and has local tranmission shop in distance ?
More questions might be to come whilst I'm on going this projects research. Thank you in advance for you guys advice as always!
