Paul Broeckx,
Sometimes a piece of cardboard left under the engine compartment overnight will reveal a hidden leak source.
Otherwise;
-Remove the weather seal in front of the aquarium cover.
-Detach the windshield washer hose above the cover.
-Remove the 8mm bolts.
-Lift the engine side of the cover (so as not to break its mounting clips).
-Extract the center drain hose detach the washer line from the underside.
-Remove the aquarium cover.
-Use a flashlight to check the heater core and hoses for leaks.
-Follow marvinstockman's suggestion to pressure test the system both cold and hot.
If there is still no visible evidence of coolant leakage, the headgasket may be the cause. Remove the DI cassette and check to see if any of your sparkplugs are bright and shiny from a coolant leak. Perform a compression test and record your findings. Lower matching pressures on adjacent cylinders may indicate a failed headgasket. Some respondents here suggest retorquing the head may correct it.
Happy SAABing!
