Suggest not buying a tuned ECU, of dubious pedigree .. lots of reasons but even price is one.
For some Genuine information : http://www.trionicsuites.com/
Then Download the T5Suite.pdf It's even FREE. Pretty well ALL the accurate/proven info you will need on the subject.
I've just recently DIY'd my own ecu to stage 1 (baby steps :-)
Improvement is significant, and the upgraded power is IMO ..much... easier on my pore car's autobox that the oem setup ever was.
Boost first appears at the same rpm as stock ..but..at a slightly lower level and Very smoothly. First time I thought it was somehow wrong ...it certainly isn't :-) Moreover, boost while starting smoothly, builds quickly, remaining solid up to redline, 1.2 bar (currently) even at 5500. The rubber band slingshot effect feels like it has been doubled.
Tough not to like, the stge 1 ecu's modest HP number increase is 'nice' but the driveabilty improvement is imo Huge.
The OEM setup, in direct comparison, now just seems odd.. too big an initial hp/tq boost which then quickly peters out after 3500 rpms ?
This initial 'boost rush' is genuinely Tough on the trans/drivetrain and then it's pretty well all over by 4k !? Seem odd to you?
