My son's 97 CS has a newly displayed check engine light. We have owned this car since new and this is our first experience with a CEL, so apologies if my question is foolish.
I have read that you can read the fault by a number of flashes of this light, but in our case it is on steady - no flashes. Is there a way to get it to flash? or should I just being it in to have the code read by an indie or dealer?
