Typical discovery.. unfortunately.
Search carefully for brake fluid puddles /visible evidence from under the bellhousing indicating a leaking Slave cylinder.
If Dry... then It may simply be the master cyl that has failed, these are more likely failures (often) than the slave.. but? [Often the master precedes a slave failure by a year (or less ?)]
In which case a replacement master install is an awkward, but happily, an afternoon's job.
Other possible is the hyd line betwixt Master and Slave.. again look for evidence of leaking fluid, not nearly as common as he famous slave/master components though.
