Ran the engine this morning to check for oil leaks. (removed the bell housing bottom drain to allow any RMS leakage a free passage)
After idling for 10 minutes with no oil leakage, I raised the engine to highway rpm of 3000; gave it 2 two-minute sessions. Still no leakage.
The droplets I saw yesterday must have been a mixture of water condensate from the A/C and the gunk on the engine block.
At least I accomplished the following:
1. Ascertained that the car leaks no oil, or any other fluid.
2. Re-checked that the cooling system is functioning properly.
3. Cleaned up the engine really well.
Would you believe that there is no fluid leak of any kind from any of my 5 Saab's? 83~96.
