Non Turbo Transmission durability? Posted by Ed_F [Email] (#1000) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ed_F) on Sun, 24 Apr 2011 13:19:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 93 9000 Aero that I'm fixing to push off a cliff. I have been a die hard Saab nut for many years, but this cursed car is the worst I have ever owned. My junkyard rescued 91 SPG with MANY more miles on the clock runs circles around this thing as far as reliability concerned.
Now that I have that off my chest, the Transmission went into self destruct mode. I have searched all over for a Turbo transmission, and nobody has one. I did locate a non turbo box about about 70 miles from me for a "reasonable" amount of money. Considering this thing never has run right to begin with, I'm hoping a non turbo trans can work.
With a kid on the way, and an impending major heart operation slated for this summer, it would make more sense to dump the thing. Of course, the little voice in my head is telling me not to give up. lol! So at this point, I either give or toss in a Non turbo trans.
