I have a '92 9000 and early 9-5's also. Both have their strong points but the 9-5 is obviously a more modern design with some nice additional safety features. I still find the 9000 seats the best although the 9-5 aren't bad, especially compared to most cars I've ridden in. A lot of car seats feel good for an hour and then start to kill you. The 9-5 seats are good for all day, as were the 9000. I work on both of them and I would have to say they each have their tough jobs and their easy jobs. The 9-5 wagon is definitely a plus for room. The Lancia Thema version of the 9000 body came in a wagon that had a HUGE amount of cargo space in the same length! Wonder why SAAB never made that?
