Thanks for the advice. We started up the car, and in a few minutes of idling in warm weather, the fan came on. I know it's a dumb question, but how can I tell which speed it initally hits when it turns on?
I was watching with the hood open, and when the fan kicked in, there was no real change in the engine's behavior - no big lurch or anything. Not really even a discernable change in rpm's. So, I'm guessing that it was the low speed fan, as it draws less current than it does on high speed.
I guess plugs are the next thing to check. BTW, this 9K came with the red DIC, which eventually failed. I replaced it with a black DIC, as there was one handy on a shelf at our indy's. Maybe all part of the problem, now that I think of it...
