Car is also a *5spd
Today, my *TCS CNTRL light came on and the car went into limp home mode. The ABS light was *never on.
*It was raining the entire time I was on the highway and the cars TCS system was in operation frequently (although usually only for a second) Before the car went into LHM
I exited the highway and restarted to no LHM or CE light. My acceleration was limited as I got back on the highway and as soon as I hit 55-ish mph I got LHM *and a CE light. Still able to maintain 65 mph (and getting around 30 mpg?)I drove another 30 miles, a bit closer to home ;) and to a gas station with some shelter! I then let the car sit for about 15 min. I pulled the ETS fuses as well as the APC fuse while the car sat. I started back up and drove the remaining 15 miles home with a CE Light still on BUT no LHM and no problems excolerating. Even up to 75 mph in full boost on the onramp...
I am wondering if this LHM could have been caused by an overheated brake. Particularly the front right which is know to have a sticky caliper... (replacing soon)
Or could a wheel sensor have been somehow covered with debris that eventually got knocked off between restarts?
The car has had other TCS issues and their fixes involved cleanings and vac lines...
