93 CSE 2.3i Overriding ATX Signals, 5-speed Conversion Posted by RAVC1 [Email] (#247) [Profile/Gallery] (more from RAVC1) on Sat, 3 Sep 2011 07:10:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I need to understand the alterations to the ATX wiring for my 5-speed conversion. Here is the list of those I think I understand:
1 - Black Sensor/connector mounted on driver's side of ATX shift lever (Saab 4 062 980/9124173). Apparently, neutral safety switch and cruise signals are in this connector. Jumper wires from terminals 1/5 and 3/4.
2 - Black sensor/green connector on passenger side of ATS shift lever (Saab 4 062 972/912473). Apparently, this is the selector lever position indicator. This is all I can determine from my EPC and the Saab Electrical Systems Service Manual (3:2). I do not know if I need to do anything with these wires.
3 - Gray centrally located connector at base of ATX shift lever (Saab 4061503, Group 3B/Section 0200). This is in my Electrical Systems Service Manual and it is the lock for the ATX shift lever. I do not know if I need to do anything with these wires.
Anything else not listed above?
I have contacted some individuals that created threads for these ATX/MTX conversion issues but have yet to receive responses. I need the help...
