I have never needed a puller to get one off. I had one that was pretty rusted...just needed a bigger mallet. Then a lot of cleaning to get all the rust that it was stuck on off. As long as all the bolts are out of the back and the brake rotor is out of the way..should come out. Nothing to hurt by giving it a good pounding since you are replacing that bearing. Good luck.
