Possible driver side clunking culprit?

Just wanted to throw this out, after 2 years I finally got rid of the driver side clunking noise. It all started after I upgraded my 96 Aero suspension to Koni/Abbott. It would clunk on low speed rough roads or down the driveway. When I did my engine rebuild recently, I also changed all ball joints, tie rods, front motor mount, trans motor mount, and tightened steering rack and as may sub-frame bolts. Still the noise persisted. So this last weekend I was going to replace the driver side strut bearing. After compressing the spring, I did not see any play in the bearing and the nuts were tight. So what I did was swap the struts left to right. Then I thought about about the bolt that holds the sub-frame support bracket (see picture). I started to tighten it and noticed it wasn't tight but not loose. So I torqued it down (probably about 30 ft-lbs). I was concerned about it stripping in the tube but I got it tight. I also made sure the springs were squarely rotated against their lower stops. Well after these steps and making sure the strut bolts were tight, the clunking went away.
