IMO the Saab boost gauge is quite consistent and of actually good quality manufacture. Try Mc Master Carr ? they have a plethora of Boost gauges (not in dash types though) starting at $8 ! last time I looked. Some even certified accurate to 2%.. I bought one of those years ago, it's invaluable.
Rod adjustment is easy but the goofy s steel 'e' shaped circlip is quite fragile (don't ask :--) and $15 to buy new !
A cotter pin works fine and is almost free.. easier to get on too.
