Do a lot all at once to get to a known starting point. Then work from there on other stuff.

Do ALL the fluids: oil (use synthetic), coolant, PS fluid, brake fluid.
Do ALL the filters: air, fuel, oil (Mann, Mobil 1 or Purolator Pure One), and the cabin filter.
Put in new spark plugs (change every 15K)
Change the trans oil or fluid (a triple flush if it's an autobox)

You can do all this in one day.

Then get on a maintenance schedule. Oil every 5K, coolant and brake fluid every couple of years, air filter every 2 years, fuel filter every 50-60K, etc.

While the coolant is out, look the hoses over and maybe replace the hoses to the heater core and the upper radiator hose. When you do the upper hose, check the flange on the radiator for signs of cracking. This is a known failure point and it can fail suddenly. Replace the radiator if there are signs of cracking.

Also while the coolant is out, put in a new thermostat. Saab or Wahl are the only two good ones.

THEN look at the other stuff.
Engine mounts upper and lower.
Tranny mount (should be fine at 128K)
Rear bushings on the front control arms (these die about every 50K or so)
Make sure the rear shock towers are free of rust.
Replace the serpentine belt and the pulleys. Do this every 60K.

At 128K you could be coming up on a heater core. Not a hard job, but awkward. Just something to be aware of.

There's lot of other little stuff... and that's what this site is for, plus all the big stuff too.

Good luck and enjoy the best Saab ever made.
